Why hello there 👋
My name is Roman, and I am an Engineer by education and a Software Developer by passion. For me, coding is both work and leisure. I use this website to write about interesting, fun, and aggravating parts of software development.
I have been coding professionally for a relatively short time, starting in 2020, trying to make it in the startup world in the midst of some unfortunate global events. My main focus was and still is on web development. Full-stack TypeScript is my favorite way to ship quality code quickly. I guess I have a strong case of a Stolholm syndrome towards the JavaScript™ ecosystem.
Nowadays, my interests outside of professional work are in offline-first distributed applications and peer-to-peer tools. For the past two years, I have been working on an AGPL 3 alternative to the personal suite of apps that usually come preinstalled on mobile phones. Well, now I know pretty well that decentralized data replication and state reconciliation are non-trivial problems.
Anyways, you can reach out to me on GitHub or LinkedIn.
Happy reading!
